Imagine your story is like a big adventure!
The plot is what happens in the story. It’s like all the exciting things that happen along the way. Summarise the character arc to develop one or two pages of your story’s plot, adding more content on the conflict (challenges and solutions) that your main character faces.
The main part of the plot is the conflict, which is like the big problem in the story. Maybe it’s friends disagreeing.
The conflict makes the story exciting and helps the characters learn and grow.
Note: Conflict (the action that drives the story’s plot)
The conflict is like the big problem or challenge in the story that makes it exciting. It’s what the main character has to deal with or try to achieve. The problem can be something inside them, like feeling scared, or it can be something outside, like a tricky puzzle or mystery to be solved.
To help you develop a good plot, use your character arc developed earlier. What is the main conflict in your story?
