The whole event was awesome, from the pre-gala to the actual day.learning more about ACABA different activities, meeting different authors and connecting with and making new friends made my day.I actually got motivated to think seriously on the next book.Thank you clc Kenya for opening my eyes.
This year’s ACABA Gala and Bookfest was an incredible experience. The event was well-organized, engaging, and full of meaningful moments. I truly enjoyed the activities, the warm atmosphere, and the opportunity to network with fellow authors, publishers, and readers from across the continent. The sense of community and shared purpose was deeply inspiring, and I left feeling encouraged and re-energized in my calling as an author.
The only challenge for me was the lack of WiFi, but everything else was excellent. Thank you to the entire CLC Kenya team for hosting such a memorable and impactful event.
Thank you so much, the graduation was colorful and full of pomp, It was a celebration that truly blew my mind, meeting new authors, my fellow classmates, the CLC team, visiting authors both international and local, the learning, the architect of the entire event, the service providers especially food and cake did an amazing job. It was a powerful and unforgettable experience from the start to finish. Good job everyone and God continue to bless the work of our hands.
The whole event from Pre gala, Gala & Post Gala gave me fulfilment in that seeing the Authors telling their stories from their heart drawing the crowd to their tents.
Also the addition of partners from last year in this year really confirmed God’s vision for ACABA and how He is so intentional with us as a continental team, He is raising many partners for nations to be impacted with literature. I can’t wait to behold what God has in store for ACABA. Jackline Ingasian.
All the kids activities at MABB tent were so much fun. I also made new friends. Ethan Omukhango
My highlight was making new friends. I enjoyed the three-legged ways game at the MABB tent. Ella Omukhango
The gala was well attended. The authors were cooperative in getting settled at the guest house. Millicent Wandia.
Meeting authors from Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe was such a blessing. Going through all the table displays for authors and partners was a highlight moment for me. Dr. Muthoni Omukhango.
I don’t understand why the gala is never streamed live. It would go a long way to help Authors in other African countries who are unable to attend so that they feel part of the program.
From past two streams, the viewership of the live is low on the gala day. And so, due to limited manpower and resources, we choose to focus on most impactful essentials of the day. Perhaps in the future this will be a possibility when we can justify the investment and effort.
