  • This year’s ACABA Gala and Bookfest was an incredible experience. The event was well-organized, engaging, and full of meaningful moments. I truly enjoyed the activities, the warm atmosphere, and the opportunity to network with fellow authors, publishers, and readers from across the continent. The sense of community and shared purpose was deeply inspiring, and I left feeling encouraged and re-energized in my calling as an author.

The only challenge for me was the lack of WiFi, but everything else was excellent. Thank you to the entire CLC Kenya team for hosting such a memorable and impactful event.

The whole event from Pre gala, Gala & Post Gala gave me fulfilment in that seeing the Authors telling their stories from their heart drawing the crowd to their tents.

Also the addition of partners from last year in this year really confirmed God’s vision for ACABA and how He is so intentional with us as a continental team, He is raising many partners for nations to be impacted with literature. I can’t wait to behold what God has in store for ACABA. Jackline Ingasian.

    • Aba December 1, 2025

I don’t understand why the gala is never streamed live. It would go a long way to help Authors in other African countries who are unable to attend so that they feel part of the program.

      • CLC Kenya December 1, 2025

From past two streams, the viewership of the live is low on the gala day. And so, due to limited manpower and resources, we choose to focus on most impactful essentials of the day. Perhaps in the future this will be a possibility when we can justify the investment and effort.
