Located in the serene and remote landscapes of Kajiado, CLC Kenya’s Writers Retreat Centre will provide a haven for creative minds seeking solitude and inspiration. This tranquil haven is designed to foster creativity, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life.

Surrounded by the natural beauty of Kajiado, 65kms from Kenya’s capital city, Nairobi, the retreat centre is strategically located in a quiet and remote area, ensuring a peaceful and distraction-free environment for writers. The landscape is characterised by two rolling hills, vast open spaces, and the soothing sounds of nature, creating an atmosphere conducive to deep thought and introspection.

In its final phase, the retreat centre will also be open for Churches and ministries to host their events. A well-designed chapel or meeting hall will provide a setting for religious services, seminars, and communal gatherings. The space will be equipped with audio-visual technology to support presentations and worship activities.

The property will also host CLC Kenya, ACABA and MABB’s headquarters, including the publishing and printing department. The vision is to enable more Christian writers to write and publish their books in order to increase availability and accessibility of Christian literature, so that more people come to faith and maturity in Jesus Christ.

Is Tinga, Oltepesi a Strategic Location? 68kms Away from Nairobi…

#1 We Are Thinking About the Future

The choice of land along the upcoming Suswa highway is a forward-looking investment. As Nairobi continues to expand, the areas around it are gradually becoming more integrated into the city’s infrastructure. Just as Thika Town transformed from a distant outpost to a thriving community connected by the Thika Superhighway, the same pattern is expected for the area surrounding CLC Kenya land. The planned highway will make the location more accessible, potentially turning what may seem like a remote area now into a sought-after destination. By establishing the CLC Kenya now, we position ourselves advantageously for the future, ready to serve a growing community as it develops.

#2 We Are Thinking of Appreciation

The story of Good News Production International is a powerful example of how strategic foresight can yield significant returns. Their decision to establish their offices in what seemed like a remote area has paid off, with their premises now situated in a prime location valued at Kes 100 million. This illustrates the potential for substantial appreciation in property value, a benefit we anticipate for the CLC land as well. As Nairobi’s urban sprawl extends, properties that were once considered peripheral will likely become highly desirable. By investing in this land now, we are not only ensuring a peaceful and conducive environment for writers but also laying the foundation for future growth in value.

#3 We Are Riding on Our Culture

Our society’s tendency to retreat out of town for weekend projects and discussions is a cultural aspect that CLC Kenya is poised to tap into. The notion of driving an hour out of the city for scheduled programs, whether for personal development or spiritual retreats, is not only accepted but embraced. This cultural practice aligns perfectly with the CLC Kenya’s vision of being a serene getaway where individuals and groups can disconnect from the hustle of the city and focus on creativity, learning, and spiritual growth. The distance from Nairobi, rather than being a hindrance, becomes an integral part of the experience, offering a space that feels like an escape yet remains accessible.

In conclusion, while the distance from Nairobi might initially seem like a challenge, the strategic foresight behind choosing this location ensures that the CLC Kenya will be well-positioned to serve both the present and future needs of its community.

Land Identified! March 2023

In March 2023, the journey toward a permanent home for CLC Kenya began in an unexpected yet divinely orchestrated way. Through the kindness and insight of a CLC-published author, a promising piece of land in Tinga–Oltepesi was identified. Though we did not yet have the resources in hand, we felt the stirrings of faith. Believing that God was leading us toward a long-awaited inheritance, we, at CLC Kenya, committed ourselves—by faith—to acquire the land, trusting that provision would follow obedience. This moment marked the seed of what is now unfolding into the CLC Oltepesi Headquarters.

Title Deed Received! December 2024

As of the close of 2024, we are pleased to report a major milestone: we have fully paid for 4 acres of land, located approximately 68 km west of Nairobi. (According to mapping services, the drive from Nairobi to Tinga-Oltepesi is about 67 km). This marks the first time in 18 years (since CLC Kenya’s founding in 2007) that we are securing a permanent headquarters site.

We appreciate CLC International for lending the helping hand to complete the payments of the land sale.

Making the Land Liveable! May 2025

In May 2025, we moved from planning into physical presence by erecting a site house, which serves as a temporary work and oversight base. At the same time, we commenced fencing the perimeter and carried out essential groundworks to render the site habitable. These initial steps ensures security, basic shelter, and a functional base from which to launch full construction.

We extend our sincere appreciation to CLC Colombia for lending a generous helping hand toward the erection of the perimeter fence. Their support strengthened our early groundwork and enabled us to secure the site as we prepared for the next stages of development.

Provision for the Foundation Slab! September 2025

We express our heartfelt gratitude to the CLC International Trustees for providing crucial start-up support toward the laying of the foundation slab and the erection of the first floor. Their generosity has enabled us to begin this significant phase with confidence. Even as we step forward in faith, we continue to trust God for additional provision and further support to complete the work set before us.

Not Before Water! October 2025

Before any meaningful construction could begin, we prioritised securing a reliable water source for the Oltepesi HQ. To achieve this, we opened an Expression of Interest (EOI) for qualified drilling companies. After reviewing submissions from five firms, the contract was awarded to Borehole Masters by Tadem Engineering, selected for their proven expertise, competitive proposal, and strong track record in similar terrains. With this step, we took a major stride toward ensuring a sustainable water supply for all future development on the land.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to our friends at CLC USA, who graciously lent a helping hand by contributing toward the construction of the well. Their partnership has strengthened both our progress and our faith as we prepare the ground for the future.

An Outdoor Garden of Prayers! November 2025

We are deeply grateful to CLC Panama for lending a generous hand toward the establishment of our Outdoor Garden of Prayers. In the heat of Oltepesi, this serene corner offers a shaded refuge, thoughtfully lined with flowering plants and young trees that will, in time, form a natural canopy. It is envisioned as a quiet haven where staff, authors, and visitors can withdraw from the demands of the day, breathe deeply, and hear God with clarity. Even as we await the beginning of full construction, this garden already stands as a gentle reminder that every lasting work is first anchored in prayer, reflection, and communion with the Lord.

Now on Google Maps! November 2025

GroundBreaking & Prayers! November 2025

30th of November, 2025 CLC Kenya held groundbreaking and dedication prayers at the Oltepesi HQ. Seven countries were represented and trees planted for CLC International, CLC Italy, Uganda, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Kenya.

    2. Praying that the builders follow God’s pattern

Father, we pray that those who build it will do it after You, after Your pattern.

“See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” — Hebrews 8:5

“Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” — Proverbs 16:3

    Prayer:
Lord, give the builders wisdom, integrity, and skill to construct this place according to Your heavenly design. Let every decision mirror Your will and every detail align with the vision You ordained.

    3. That the center becomes exactly what God intended

We pray that it will be exactly what it should be according to the vision You released.

“I will stand at my watch… to see what He will say… Then the LORD replied: ‘Write the vision… though it tarry, wait for it; it will surely come.’” — Habakkuk 2:1–3

Father, establish the vision You revealed. Let nothing fall short, be lost, or be altered. Bring the full expression of Your purpose to completion and let the retreat center manifest the exact calling You gave.

    Establish it with Your presence.

    Prayer:
Father, consecrate this place for Your purposes alone. Let writers be inspired, renewed, and transformed here. Let Kingdom creativity flourish. Use this center to bless the church, impact nations, and glorify Christ.

    6. Protection over people and property

Father, protect those who stay there and all that is valuable—the water pump, solar panels, and system—from the enemy’s stealing, killing, and destroying.

“The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy; I have come that they may have life.” — John 10:10

“The LORD will watch over your coming and going, both now and forevermore.” — Psalm 121:8
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper.” — Isaiah 54:17

    Prayer:
Lord, place a hedge of protection around every person residing there. Guard every piece of equipment and every resource. Frustrate every plan of the enemy. Let angels encamp around the property and keep it secure day and night.

    7. Praying for more donations for completion and sustenance

We pray for more donations to come in for the completion and sustenance of the vision.

“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.” — Philippians 4:19

    Prayer:
Father, send abundant provision for every phase of construction and ongoing needs. Move hearts to give generously. Release finances, materials, partnerships, and supernatural supply. Sustain this vision for generations.

Our heavenly father we thank you this very morning. Yours is greatness, the power and the glory. For all that is in heaven and in the earth are yours. Yours is the Kingdom and you are exalted as head over all. Both riches and honor come from you for you reign over all.
In Your hand is power and might. In Your hand it is to make great and give strength to all.
As a result we thank you that You who have begun the work in CLC Headquarters you will be honored and glorified even as many will offer willingly to build this glorious facility that will host your presence and bring total transformation to nations .

We also thank you that you will give strength to all involved such that the task will be accomplished just like Nehemiah who was able to complete the building and many perceived that this work was done by Israel’s God.

You O Lord have done wondrous things before, we do echo Jesus words when he said I thank you for you always hear me before the unusual happened in the sight of man.

You O Lord have a history of doing great things even with little, small and the despised. I am reminded of the five loaves and 2 fishes that one even said what are they among many. Unknown to the disciples that the little in God’s hand can do much. It is our prayer that supernatural provisions will take place in this project.

We are grateful that you O Lord know what you will do and whom you will use to see this mission come to pass .

Not only do we thank you for what you will do but also for those who will be impacted and transformed by the existence of this headquarters.

All this we pray and believe in the Name of Jesus.

    Amen.

Throughout your existence as CLC, I declare that you carry a different atmosphere and therefore everywhere you go, God’s MERCY locates you, and Doors of Blessings and Opportunities are opened to you.
CLC can NEVER be disadvantaged throughout its life. CLC is not ordinary because it is ordained by God.
Everything CLC gets involved in prospers because It has the life of God in it ,and has overcome the world and its systems by the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Henceforth, CLC has been anointed by God to give life to seemingly dead situations.
If CLC ever gets involved in any project, it has no choice but to work and come ALIVE !

CLC is Excelling and making Progress in all its endeavors! The construction of its headquarters in Kenya is making progress with giant strides and shall be completed in record time.
Everywhere CLC goes, the Joyous Celebrations from God envelops it and causes it to receive Unparalleled Advantages, Unprecedented Favours, and Uncommon Prosperity.
The life of God in CLC throughout its life destroys and renders the works of the devil in and all around it USELESS AND OF NO EFFECT In the Most Powerful Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

A Prayer of Thanksgiving for CLC Kenya’s Oltepesi Headquarters

    Heavenly Father,
We bow our hearts before You in thanksgiving, for You have dealt bountifully with us. With gratitude and awe, we acknowledge that “unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain.” Today we rejoice, because You Yourself have strengthened our hands and established the work at Oltepesi.

Thank You, Lord, for the precious gift of land, a quiet place where Your servants will write, pray, rest, and hear Your voice. Thank You for the beauty of creation that surrounds Oltepesi—the hills, the silence, the sky You stretched over us like a banner of peace. Thank You for choosing this ground to be a place of refreshing and renewal for writers across Africa.

We give You deep thanks for the miracle of water, drawn from the well that You provided. You opened the earth and released a fountain, reminding us that You are still the God who makes streams flow in the desert. You moved the hearts of partners across the world—CLC USA, Kingsway CLC Trust, and many others—to sow into this vision. Through their generosity, faith came alive, and what once seemed impossible now stands as a testimony of Your provision.

Thank You for the solar power, the pump, the materials, and the hands that labour on the foundation. Thank You that construction has begun, and that every beam and stone will carry stories of Your faithfulness. May this centre rise as a lighthouse of hope, creativity, discipleship, and mission.

We dedicate the future Writers’ Retreat Centre, the offices, the prayer gardens, the training rooms, and every program that will flow from here. May this place shape generations—authors, pastors, children’s workers, families, and emerging voices across the continent.

Father, bless every donor, prayer partner, and volunteer who has stood with us. Let their barns be full. Let their households experience peace. Let their ministries flourish. Remember them according to Your riches in glory.

And now, Lord, go ahead of us into every remaining phase—guide the architects, strengthen the builders, send provision without delay, and surround the work with Your favour. Establish this centre as holy ground; let Your presence dwell here.

We return all glory to You,
For Yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory,
    Forever and ever.

    Amen.

    • Dr Onkeme Letshwiti December 12, 2025
