We are receiving books, toys and other household items so we can be a blessing to homes that shelter the less fortunate in our society. This kind of giving enriches our lives, helps us familiarize ourselves with our communities, and connects us to people and ideas that will positively impact perspective for the rest of our lives.

Proverbs 19:17 encourages us that, whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed and Proverbs 22:9 emphasizes that, the generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.
