A Grateful Reflection on Our Mission to Chariots of Hope: Testimonial by Jackline Ingasian

As I reflect on the recent mission trip to Chariots of Hope in Kitui, I am filled with gratitude for the journey that began with faith and trust in God. From the meticulous planning stages to the actual trip, it was evident that God was at work every step of the way. The provision of our bus was nothing short of miraculous, and upon our arrival, we were welcomed with open hearts, ready to receive all that God had in store for us. The return journey to Nairobi was equally remarkable, as we witnessed God’s presence manifesting through our team at CLC Kenya MABB.

Engaging Activities

As the Programs Coordinator for the Mama Africa Book Box (MABB), I had the joy of facilitating a reading club for children aged 4 to 6 years. This experience reminded me of the profound impact that early literacy and value-based education can have on children’s lives. It is crucial that we instill these principles in young hearts, for they will carry them into adulthood.

The art of storytelling blossomed during our time with the children at Chariots of Hope. I could see God’s hand at work, igniting the imaginations of these children, and I have no doubt that some of them will go on to write incredible stories reflecting their journeys and the faithfulness of God in their lives. I was humbled to witness our team step up and fulfill their roles with such excellence and dedication. Special thanks must also go to our driver, Sammy, whose skill and professionalism were a blessing throughout the trip.

Meaningful Connections

The mission also allowed for some meaningful connections to be established. I was thrilled to onboard the chaplain from Chariots of Hope for the African Christian Authors Book Award (ACABA) 2025, as well as connect Teacher Njoro with MABB for his students. Additionally, in 2025, I shall be facilitating a writing class for twelve children at Chariots of Hope, further enriching their experience.

Looking Ahead

In conclusion, the Kitui mission was not just an event; it was a significant and timely experience for me, filled with grace and learning opportunities. I look forward to future missions where we can continue to cultivate more creativity among the children and empower them to share their stories for the glory of God.

As we move forward, my hope is to see the connections we made bear fruit, leading to even more opportunities for collaboration across all the homes that God has brought our way. Together, we can foster an environment where children are blessed and their voices are heard.
