Providing A Legacy of Faith Through the Family Unit

Focusing on the family is central to CLC Kenya’s mission because the family is the foundation of society. By developing and providing books on marriage, relationships, and parenting, (as well as books for children, teenagers aand young adults), we aim to strengthen this vital unit. A healthy, well-functioning family produces individuals who are emotionally balanced, spiritually grounded, and socially responsible, contributing to the well-being of the wider community.

When we equip families with Biblical wisdom and practical guidance, we not only help nurture godly marriages and effective parenting, but we also address many societal issues at their root. Every individual comes from a family, and if we invest in fostering strong family bonds, we are essentially investing in building a better society. This approach aligns with God’s design for family, where love, instruction, and moral values are cultivated, ultimately reflecting His kingdom principles in the world.

By sorting the family unit, we contribute to the healing and transformation of the society at large, fulfilling our mission to advance God’s Kingdom through literature.

A great example was set by our founders, Ken and Bessie Adams (pictured above with their young family in 1941), who allowed God to use their family as a vessel to impact countless lives through Christian literature.

Their dedication to the ministry of books laid a firm foundation for CLC Kenya, and even over eight decades later, the ripple effects of their obedience continue to spread. By nurturing their own family in the ways of the Lord, they set a model of faith and service, demonstrating how God can use a single family to influence generations and advance His Kingdom through the written word.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of Light Shines in the Darkness: A Tale of Restored Hope, a heart-stirring compilation by 22 ACABA authors from Kenya, Uganda, and South Africa, compiled by Dr. Muthoni Omukhango.

This gripping story follows Mrs. Thompson’s painful journey through grief after the tragic loss of her son, David. In the midst of her sorrow, she uncovers a life-altering secret—David had a son and a deep love she never knew about. This discovery becomes the key to healing her broken heart as she grapples with her faith, bitterness, and the complex emotions of loss. A miraculous dream gives her a glimpse of David’s peace in heaven, sparking a divine journey towards reconciliation, grace, and newfound family bonds.

Light Shines in the Darkness is a powerful reminder that even in our darkest moments, God’s light shines through, guiding us to hope, healing, and restoration.
