CLC Anglophone Africa, through CLC Kenya, the African Christian Authors Book Award (ACABA) and Mama Africa Book Box (MABB), is celebrating a significant milestone in the growing influence of African Christian authors through the YouVersion Bible App.

With more than 100 published Bible plans, over 100,000 subscriptions and more than 50,000 plan completions, this achievement reflects the increasing reach of African voices in sharing biblical truth with readers across nations.

Yet this celebration is not ultimately about the numbers.

Every subscription represents a person choosing to engage with God’s Word. Every completed plan points to a reader who has spent time reflecting on Scripture, receiving encouragement, seeking direction or growing in faith. Behind the statistics are lives being touched, hearts being strengthened and the Gospel advancing through digital tools.

Through YouVersion, African Christian authors are carrying timeless biblical truth into today’s digital spaces. Their messages are crossing geographical boundaries, entering homes, workplaces, schools and communities, and reaching readers who may never have encountered these authors through a printed book.

This milestone demonstrates what becomes possible when Christian authorship, technology and continental collaboration work together in service of the Great Commission. It is evidence that digital platforms can become powerful channels for discipleship, evangelism and spiritual growth.

CLC Kenya, ACABA and MABB remain committed to identifying, equipping and supporting African Christian authors as they create quality, Scripture-centred content for the global Church. As we celebrate this progress, we give glory to God for every plan published, every reader reached and every life transformed.

The numbers help us measure the reach, but the real story is that the Gospel is advancing through African voices and digital platforms, reaching people wherever they are.
