YouVersion East Africa was represented at the 5th African Christian Authors Book Award BookFest and Gala, held on 29 November 2025 at NPBC Garden Estate in Nairobi, Kenya.

Henrika Amaofa represented the YouVersion East Africa team and delivered a five-minute exhortation encouraging African Christian authors to join the YouVersion Bible Plans movement.

In her address, she highlighted the opportunity for authors to extend the reach of their books and biblical messages beyond the printed page by developing Bible reading plans for the YouVersion Bible App. Through the platform, African authors can share Scripture-based reflections with readers across the continent and around the world.

Her message was timely for the authors, publishers, ministry leaders and literary partners gathered at the event. The ACABA BookFest and Gala exists not only to recognise, celebrate and promote quality Christian authorship in Africa, but also to equip authors for greater Kingdom influence.

YouVersion East Africa’s presence reflected a growing partnership between digital Bible engagement and African Christian authorship. It also reinforced ACABA’s wider vision of helping authors reach new audiences through training, collaboration and digital platforms.

As more African Christian authors embrace Bible Plans, their voices are gaining greater opportunities to contribute to global conversations on faith, family, leadership, purpose and Christian living.

The five-minute exhortation carried a simple but significant challenge: the message God has placed in a book can travel even further when it is transformed into a Bible reading plan.
