CLC Kenya Uploads Its First YouVersion Bible Plan - Impacting lives with Christian Literature

In December 2025, CLC Kenya uploaded its first Bible reading plan on the YouVersion Bible App: The Divine Exchange by Dr Muthoni Omukhango. For Dr Muthoni, this milestone was a remarkable answer to prayer.

“I had just returned from a trip to the United States, where I spent several days with the CLC USA team. They introduced me to YouVersion, and we agreed that I would return in 2026 for at least two weeks of training on how to upload Bible plans authored by Africans.

“The day after I arrived home in Kenya, Mercy Chege, an author in our ACABA network, sent me a WhatsApp message inviting me to a meeting for the YouVersion East Africa Hub. I could hardly believe that God had answered the prayer so quickly.”

With the support of the YouVersion team, CLC Kenya established its account, followed later by accounts for ACABA and Mama Africa Book Box.

God had already impressed upon the CLC Kenya team that its contribution to the coming revival from Africa would be through literature, the area in which He had equipped and positioned them to serve.

By the end of December 2025, The Divine Exchange had reached 64 people and appeared in engagement reports covering 97 countries.

Looking back, Dr Muthoni says, “I was so excited, but little did I know that within the following six months we would reach 100 Bible plans, more than 100,000 subscriptions and readers in over 150 countries.”

What began with one plan and one answered prayer became a growing continental movement, carrying African-authored biblical content to readers across the world.
