Autism Knock Out By Audrey Spaulding

Garvi was a little boy who liked to play. He had autism, which means his mind works different than ours. This made it difficult for him to communicate with others.

He loved his older sisters Sunny and Adia. He had an amazing mind, created in Gods image just an extra special mind and extra special personality.

He loved to take things apart and put them back together. Maybe he will be an engineer one day. He also loved vehicles of all kinds. He even had his own toy bus, car and plane! He was not always properly behaved, but that did not mean he was not smart.

He moved from Maine to Georgia, United States of America and had amazing education! Garvi did not let his disability stop him from following his dreams.

One day, at school, their was a disability talent show their was so much noise and people yelling and the music playing it was overwhelming him. He wanted to dance, but he was too scared. Therefore he just sat down! The music stopped and Garvi’s heart beat felt like it stopped too. He started to get dizzy. Then, he caut himself and got back up. He took a deep breath and started to dance. He danced and danced at the end he bowed. He was so happy he jumped into the air in excitement.

The announcer said, “And the winner is… Garvi S.!”

Garvi jumped up again and claimed his trophy. He took a deep breath and let it out in one big huff he was thankful that he had such a wonderful talent.

This is beautifully written. All parents should teach their children to embrace people that are differently abled. I love that she knows Garvy created in God’s own image. Powerful! Keep up the good work Miss Audrey.
