My name is Daisy Mutai. I am a leadership development practitioner and educator-in-training with a deep passion for raising a generation grounded in purpose, identity, and Christ-centred leadership.
My work is rooted in servant leadership, with a focus on helping individuals discover who they are in God, align with that identity, and boldly live out their calling. Through my Purpose to Platform™ framework, I walk with individuals from purpose discovery to expression, equipping them to show up with clarity, confidence, and impact.
I am the Founder of Raising a Godly Generation and Pages of Purpose Book Club, where I nurture faith, character, and intentional growth among children, youth, and young adults. I am especially passionate about early leadership development, believing that identity and purpose must be cultivated from a young age.
I serve at ASLEAD Institute in administration and human resource management, supporting leadership and organisational development.
My heart is to see individuals not only discover their God-given purpose, but fully live it out in every sphere of influence.
Writing Raising a Godly Generation
I wrote Raising a Godly Generation out of a deep conviction and a personal calling to see a generation raised differently. A generation grounded in Christ, secure in their identity, and clear in their purpose.
Through my work with children, youth, and families, I have seen that when these foundations are missing, many grow up searching for what should have been firmly established early. Many of the struggles we encounter in adulthood are rooted in truths that were never nurtured in childhood.
This book is my contribution and invitation to parents and guardians to be intentional in laying the right foundations early, and raising children who know who they are in God and boldly live out their purpose.
Overcoming Writer’s Block
Yes, I did encounter writer’s block, several times in fact.
As this is my first book, I often found myself wrestling with doubt, questioning my identity and even the validity of my calling to write. There were moments of uncertainty, but I did not stay there.
I overcame it through prayer, encouragement from the CLC team, and most importantly, the unwavering support of my family and accountability partner, who consistently reminded me to keep going.
This journey has taught me that having a strong, supportive circle around you is not just helpful, it is essential for sustaining the process and bringing the vision to completion.
Receiving Feedback During the Writing Class Journey
I received feedback in different forms throughout the Writing Class journey, both encouraging and challenging. I learned to embrace all of it as part of my growth process.
Positive feedback gave me affirmation and reminded me that I was on the right path, especially in moments when I felt uncertain. It encouraged me to keep writing and refining my work with confidence.
On the other hand, constructive or difficult feedback initially challenged me, especially as a first-time author. At times, it was not easy to hear, but I made a conscious decision not to take it personally. Instead, I chose to reflect on it, pray through it, and seek clarity where needed.
Prioritising My Writing Journey
I prioritised my writing journey by being intentional with my time and creating structure around my daily commitments.
I had to learn to treat writing not as something I do when I have free time, but as an important assignment that deserved dedicated space.
As part of this, I intentionally set aside 30 minutes daily to work on my writing. I was not always faithful to it, but having it as part of my daily to-do list kept me accountable and constantly reminded me of my commitment.
This meant planning ahead, setting aside specific times for writing, and being disciplined enough to follow through even when other responsibilities were demanding. I also learned to maximise small pockets of time rather than waiting for perfect conditions.
My Experience in the Jade Writing Class
My experience with content writing in the Jade Writing Class was wonderful.
The content in the Jade Writing Class was very relevant and helped me answer so many questions I had about the writing process. It was also very practical and easy to follow, which made learning enjoyable and applicable.
Some of the terms and concepts were completely new to me, so I had to take time to re-listen to certain sections in order to fully grasp and internalise them. That process actually helped me learn more deeply and at a steady pace.
Overall, the class was highly beneficial to me. It gave me structure, clarity, and confidence in my writing journey.
Yes, I would definitely recommend the writing class to others, especially anyone who wants to grow in clarity, discipline, and practical writing skills. I already have one person waiting in line!
My Word to Aspiring Writers and Beginning Authors
Yes! Just start.
My journey began in a simple corridor while I was taking my children to the MABB Book Club. I did not even have the finances when others had already begun, and at the time, I was not sure how everything would come together. But I made the decision to start anyway, and as I did, things began to fall into place along the way.
Now I am preparing for my first book, and this journey has reminded me that we all carry something valuable within us to share with the world.
As John C. Maxwell says, “Action attracts. When you take action, you begin attracting what you need in your life.”
Do not wait for perfect conditions. Start with what you have. Your voice matters.
Closing Reflection
My journey through CLC Kenya’s Writing Class has been one of faith, growth, discipline, and discovery. What began with uncertainty has become a testimony of God’s grace, the power of support, and the importance of taking action even when everything is not yet in place.
Through Raising a Godly Generation, my prayer is that parents and guardians will be encouraged to lay strong foundations of faith, identity, and purpose in the lives of children. Truly, when God places a message within you, the first step of obedience may be simple, but it can open the door to something far greater than you imagined.

CLC Kenya Celebrates 16 Graduating Writers from the Jade Writing Mentorship Class
CLC Kenya joyfully celebrated the virtual graduation of 16 writers from the Jade Writing Mentorship Class, marking another milestone in raising Christian authors across Africa.
Facilitated by Jackline Ingasian and hosted by Dr. Muthoni Omukhango, the graduation brought together writers from Kenya, South Sudan and Zimbabwe who have completed manuscripts across various genres, including memoirs, marriage guidance, Christian living, parenting, children’s devotionals, inner healing, financial stewardship, leadership, and discipleship.
#Graduation Flip Book

During the ceremony, each writer shared their writing journey, the inspiration behind their book, and the lessons learnt through the mentorship process. The event also highlighted CLC Kenya’s wider mission of advancing the gospel through Christian literature, a mission connected to CLC’s global work across 44 countries.
The CLC Kenya’s Writing Class has continued to grow since its beginning in 2020, raising writers who are not only completing manuscripts but also preparing to publish books that will serve families, churches, communities, and nations.
The 2026 graduating writers were encouraged to move forward into the publishing and marketing phase, with the hope of celebrating their published works in 2027 with an in-person graduation set for 28th November 2026 at Garden Estate.
As the session closed in prayer and thanksgiving, the charge was clear: graduation is not the end of the journey, but the beginning of greater stewardship. These writers carry stories, testimonies, teachings, and messages that can impact Africa and beyond.
