“Our Girls Belong to the Lord” Bridging Mothers and Daughters – Sebenzile Brenda Patience Ngubane

My name is Sebenzile Brenda Patience Ngubane. I am the fifth child of Mr and Mrs Mpanza. I am a born-again child of God who fears the Lord Jesus and, by His mercy, I am still here.

I am married to Mr Sizwe Ngubane, and we have been blessed with two children who are nine years apart. I am a Civil Engineering Technician by profession, hold a Certificate in Theology, and serve as a Pastor in the local church, Christ Tabernacle Centre, under the leadership of Apostle and Pastor Mabongi Khuluse.

What I Am Writing About

I have been writing about Christian mothers and daughters, where we are and where the Lord wants us to be.

The motivation behind my writing is to close the gap in the relationship between mothers and daughters and to allow God to reign in this union. There should be no more destruction and blindness in our walk with our blessings. Our girls belong to the Lord, and the Lord Jesus will have the final say over them.

Overcoming Writer’s Block

Yes, I encountered writer’s block, and the best motivation was prayer and the Holy Spirit.

Of course, my sisters in the class, Ps Alphi and Sis Nonhle, together with our facilitator, Sis Jackline, were also a great encouragement to me. I thank the Lord for you, ladies. Thank you for praying for me and for pushing me to do better every day. You are God-sent. I really appreciate you. You are an amazing blessing in my life.

Receiving Feedback During the Writing Class

The most amazing part was when we received feedback from Dr Muthoni. It was as though the heavens were revealing through her what they see in me and my book.

I cannot stop editing and writing more and more. Every day is fresh and new, with new blessings and fresh new words. Thank you, SA Pearl Writing Class. Every sacrifice was worth it.

May God richly bless this movement.

Prioritising My Writing Journey

By the grace of God, I have not been that busy at work, so writing is what I do when I get to the office lately, until I run out of words for the day.

My Experience in the SA Pearl Writing Class

What an amazing time with the Lord in this class of authors. It has been filled with pearls of love and wisdom from the throne of grace.

The content was extremely beneficial, even when I wanted to give up. That class would shape me up and take me back to the reason why I started writing.

I will definitely recommend someone else to join this writing class.

My Word to Aspiring Writers and Beginning Authors

Give up what you think you know and open yourself up to the Holy Spirit. Allow Him to write through you. Ask Him to express Himself through you in words.

Let Him carry you. Let Him have full control over your mind, heart, pen, and paper.

Closing Reflection

My journey in the SA Pearl Writing Class has been one of prayer, encouragement, correction, growth, and surrender. I came in with a message, but through the class, the Holy Spirit continued shaping both the message and the messenger. I am grateful for CLC Kenya, the facilitators, the feedback, the sisterhood, and the opportunity to write what God has placed in my heart for Christian mothers and daughters. May every word become a seed of healing, restoration, and godly connection between mothers and their daughters.

CLC Kenya Celebrates 16 Graduating Writers from the Jade Writing Mentorship Class

CLC Kenya joyfully celebrated the virtual graduation of 16 writers from the Jade Writing Mentorship Class, marking another milestone in raising Christian authors across Africa.

Facilitated by Jackline Ingasian and hosted by Dr. Muthoni Omukhango, the graduation brought together writers from Kenya, South Sudan and Zimbabwe who have completed manuscripts across various genres, including memoirs, marriage guidance, Christian living, parenting, children’s devotionals, inner healing, financial stewardship, leadership, and discipleship.

During the ceremony, each writer shared their writing journey, the inspiration behind their book, and the lessons learnt through the mentorship process. The event also highlighted CLC Kenya’s wider mission of advancing the gospel through Christian literature, a mission connected to CLC’s global work across 44 countries.

The CLC Kenya’s Writing Class has continued to grow since its beginning in 2020, raising writers who are not only completing manuscripts but also preparing to publish books that will serve families, churches, communities, and nations.

The 2026 graduating writers were encouraged to move forward into the publishing and marketing phase, with the hope of celebrating their published works in 2027 with an in-person graduation set for 28th November 2026 at Garden Estate.

As the session closed in prayer and thanksgiving, the charge was clear: graduation is not the end of the journey, but the beginning of greater stewardship. These writers carry stories, testimonies, teachings, and messages that can impact Africa and beyond.
